RF
SYSTEMS & NETWORK:
Transmitting large bandwidth RF signals from antennas requires large and
heavy coax cables and typically additional RF amplifiers to overcome the
large RF loss in these cables. In platforms where weight is an issue (such
as aircraft) or where the antenna is located remotely (for example, on
top of a ship mast), the traditional approach is complex and costly.

Optical fiber is a low-loss, light medium over which to transfer these
RF signals and is ideal for deployment on aircraft, ships and on the ground,
in military as well as public safety applications.
DPG has developed and deployed a large number of RF on
fiber systems, such as in GPS systems on Navy ships, Public safety systems
and many other applications. These are based on years of experience in
RF, analog transmission and fiber optics.
